How to Rent

Renting at Tropical Beach Rentals is a simple process. First, check availability at the office located in Thetidia. There are four house vendors on the back wall and two apartment and hotel suite vendors on a side wall. Each vendor will cycle through its property listings and display the property name, price, and prim allowance.

If you see one that piques your interest, click the picture on the vendor. The vendor will then give you a notecard with more information about the property and a landmark. You can use the landmark to teleport to the property and view it in person. The doors are unlocked on all vacant houses and apartments--but not hotel suites, those are always locked--so feel free to go inside and look around.

If you decide the property is what you're looking for in a new home, simply right click the rental sign next to the front door and pay the required rental amount. Hotel suites rent by the day, houses by the week, and estates by the month. You are welcome to pay for one or more days/weeks/months.

With all houses and apartments, you receive a twelve percent discount when paying for four or more weeks at a time. If you wish to receive this discount, you can either 1) calculate and pay the discounted rent, or 2) pay the full amount for four weeks and receive an immediate refund for the difference.

That's it! Once the rent is paid, the rental sign will move out of the way and change to "Rented," the door will be locked to everyone but you and anyone you add to the rental box as your partner or to your access list, and the security system will respond to you. You will need to be in the Tropical Beach Rentals or TCR Residents group to rez objects in your new home, so be sure to accept the group invitation when you receive it.

Hotel suites do not require group membership to rez objects.

Protect Yourself!

Be sure to pay rent ONLY to boxes with the Tropical Beach Rentals logo on it. If it doesn't have our logo, it is NOT one of our rentals. And, the "Pay Resident:" is ALWAYS Zena Silverstar--never anyone else.
