Rental Policies

  • Yes, you may share your rental with roommates, friends, significant others, etc. We don't care who or how many, but please keep your prim limit in mind.
  • Yes, you may use your own TV, DVDs, radios, etc. However, since this is group land, you will need to give that object to us or share it with the group so we can deed it to group for you. Please be sure to ask for it back when you leave. We don't always remember who gave us what object.
  • If you use mature objects, please 1) turn chat info off (usually an option on the object's menu), and 2) tint your windows. Please do not use mature objects outside your home.
  • Please do not place objects on roofs. Placing objects on rooftops is unsightly and can spoil the view for your neighbors.
  • No pets. Pets use a lot of prims (usually 25-30), run scripts continuously, and can continue to make noise, even when their owners are offline. (You may have a pet if 1) the sim has sufficient prims available for temporary rezzing, and 2) you put the pet back in your inventory when you're not around. You might want to ask first if you are considering purchasing a pet.) 
  • No refunds for early termination. If you are having a problem with a neighbor, or you find your home is too small and/or you need more prims, or you need to downsize, we may be able to transfer your rent to another unit. Please IM a staff member for more information. 
  • No fighting or domestic disturbances allowed in our sims. If you have an issue, take it elsewhere. We do not tolerate people slinging verbal offenses at each other, shouting, shooting, or otherwise assaulting each other. 
  • These are residential homes only. Please, no commercial activities. 
  • No signs, spinners, or excessive use of particles. If you use particles, please keep them within your own parcel, house, or apartment to avoid annoying your neighbors. You may put a small sign on your house with your name, if you wish; e.g. "Carver Residence", "Zena's Place", etc. Please keep it tasteful. The appearance of our sims is very important. 
  • Please stay within your prim limits. Excess prims may be removed automatically, without warning. We will try to give you notice first, but we may not always be able to, especially if the sim is running out of prims. We are not responsible for lost inventory. ***IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT PRIMS ARE, PLEASE READ THE PRIM FAQ INCLUDED IN YOUR RENTAL NOTECARD. DO NOT JUST ASSUME BECAUSE YOU PAID RENT YOU CAN REZ YOUR ENTIRE INVENTORY.*** 
  • Please clean up after yourself when you leave. Be aware if we have to return your items, they will all be linked as a single coalesced object in your Lost and Found folder, and you may not be able to find them again. This is a Second Life issue, so, if you value your belongings, please take them with you. We are not responsible for lost inventory. 
  • If you are renting a house, we can put a different house on the parcel you wish to rent provided we have another that fits the parcel. Please contact a staff member first to see if this is possible. Be aware you will need to pay for at least one month's rent before we will change out the house and, to maintain the look of our properties, we use only our houses. 
  • Malicious acts will result in abuse reports filed and appropriate disciplinary action by Linden Labs.
